The seller

The games are sold by Red Herring Club (sole trader, no Finnish business ID). Email: support@redherringclub.com. See also Seller information.

What you buy

We sell escape games that you play in a phone's browser. One purchase is a game link for one group of 2 to 8 players. The link works for 30 days from purchase and on up to 8 phones. You can play as often as you like while the link is valid.

• Each purchase is for one game in one language.
• Grandma's Cottage also needs a shared screen, such as a laptop or a TV. The shared screen doesn't take up a phone place.
• Every device needs an internet connection and an up-to-date browser.
• There are no user accounts, and you don't need one.

Price and payment

The price is €9.90 per group. The seller is not registered for VAT, so the price includes no VAT. You pay by card through the payment provider Stripe. We never see or store your card details. The charge appears on your card statement as REDHERRINGCLUB.

Delivery

Your game link appears right after payment and is also sent to the email address you gave when paying. The same email contains your order confirmation.

Right of withdrawal

When buying at a distance, consumers usually have a 14-day right of withdrawal. For digital content, the right of withdrawal ends once delivery has started with the consumer's express consent and the consumer has acknowledged that they lose the right of withdrawal.

At checkout you ask us to deliver the game link right away and confirm that you understand the right of withdrawal ends once the link has been delivered. We also send you this confirmation in your order confirmation.

If the game doesn't work

If the game doesn't work as described, write to support@redherringclub.com. As a consumer you have rights under the Finnish Consumer Protection Act if digital content is faulty. These terms don't limit them.

Using the game link

• The link is meant for one group. Don't publish it openly.
• Once 8 different phones have joined, no new phones are accepted.
• The game room and its data are deleted automatically when the link expires.

Lost link

You can request the link again on the Lost your game link? page. It is only sent to the email address used for the purchase.

Disputes

Please contact us first and we'll sort it out. As a consumer you can also get help from the Finnish Consumer Advisory Services (Kuluttajaneuvonta) and take the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board (Kuluttajariitalautakunta). These terms are governed by Finnish law.
